Implementationof environmental restoration and compensation measures has become anincreasingly important sphere of action of contemporary nature conservation. Toaddress various approaches on determining, implementing and monitoring naturecompensation measures and in order to suggest a more homogenous approach tothese topics within Austria, the attorney general of the environment of theProvince of Burgenland, of Lower Austria and of Upper Austria together havecommissioned a study that addresses the following topics:Evaluation and calculation model todetermine the need and extent of compensation measures Management of compensation areas Administrative implementation ofcompensation measures
